La Sandía Project Phase Two: The Colors of Rocky Ford Return

ROCKY FORD, CO — Hey there Arkansas Valley, we’re back. Following the success of last year’s debut, The ART Project and Small Town Project have officially joined forces again to launch Phase Two of the La Sandía Project.

This next chapter returns to the streets with a mission to deepen the town’s cultural landscape through large-scale storytelling and intentional urban renewal. By centering on the stories of the community, the project continues to transform public spaces into vibrant landmarks of local pride.

What to Expect

Phase Two expands the project’s footprint with a focus on regional heritage and interactive art:

  • New Murals: A fresh series of vibrant, large-scale works honoring local history and the agricultural spirit of the valley.
  • Sculptural Landmarks: The introduction of physical sculptures that will serve as permanent artistic anchors for the Rocky Ford community.
  • July Festival: The season will culminate in a massive Community Engagement Festival in July, bringing residents together for a celebration of art, music, and local culture.

“We’re back in gear and ready to do it again,” says The ART Project. “Expect more murals, new installations, and a community celebration this summer, as we continue to celebrate the heart of Rocky Ford.”
